 I [state your name] do solemnly affirm that I am committed to the Oakland Food Policy Council’s mission to establish an equitable and sustainable food system in Oakland, California. In my participation in the Oakland Food Policy Council, I will conduct myself in a manner that demonstrates respect for the complexity and sensitivity of the OFPC’s work with diverse partners, and an appreciation for the need for personal and group skills in diversity management, problem-solving, decision-making, and “getting to yes”. I am committed to reaching out to a wide variety of people and entities within my working community to ensure I understand their needs and what they have to offer. In my work for the OFPC, I am committed to working in the public interest, rather than directly representing any organization I am affiliated with.
